Welcome

Having started in the industry over four decades ago, I have witnessed the emergence of new technologies, rise and fall of industry leaders. and the transition of computing ecosystems from a centralized mainframe architecture to a distributed global network of networks - the Internet. 

As the internet evolved into what we use today, I’ve watched convenience take priority over control - and with that, security began to slip in ways most people still don’t fully understand.

The shift towards the present has been accompanied with a proportional rise in security breaches, intrusive technologies, behaviour monitoring, 

My Technology Philosophy

Much of today’s internet infrastructure was originally designed for openness rather than safety or trust. Many problems we experience online today - phishing, deceptive links, identity manipulation - stem from those early structural weaknesses in the evolution of the Internet. 

I am currently focussed on practical approaches to halting the erosion of online privacy and security, and cultivating a fresh mindset and awareness. 

Having shaped today’s digital environment, our generation has a responsibility to improve it - so the next generation inherits not only safer systems, but safer interactions within them.

To this end, I have initiated two projects available via Safe Social Networking Society, a non profit organization that I founded.
